I have a file converter that helps me convert audio files from any format that i download them from to any format that i need them to be in. However, some of the files, even after i've converted them from mp3 to .wav, are still slightly too large a file to use elsewhere. Is there a way to shrink them?

  2. you can try reducing the bit rate to 128kpbs. but if you turn an mp3 into a wav it will use more space.

wav. is the biggest file type uses the most space  and is the best quality no compression to the file. its like a cd. on your PC but can use like 40MB a song

you really don't need to turn an mp3 into a wav. unless you are making a audio cd.

if it's on you computer as an mp3 it will be ok. mp3s sound very good if it has a good bit rate and is a good recording. mp3s use about 3 to 5 MB so you can put 1000's of songs on you PC

it won't make any difference if you turn a mp3 into a wav it will just make the file larger. and it won't sound any better

mp3 uses less space you should use at lease 128kbps

a good program to use is called simple mp3
