To make layouts for myspace your going to need a combination of many different things.  For starters you need a creative mind just for coming up with the ideas.  Second your going to need knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. to put these ideas "on paper".  Thirdly your going to need a little advanced knowledge of html scripting. Start with "HTML for dummies" and move your way up.  Now of course i didnt say this was going to be easy..  This is just creating the layouts not just the website for the layouts to be downloaded.  It could take years to learn all this... but if its something your really looking at doing check into getting a Graphic and/or Web Design Degree.
