How can i make all messages private and only viewed by group members?

You have to set your group's messages into "Members only".

Here's how:

1. Click the "Management" link ta the left side of the page.

2. Under Group Settings, click the "Messages" link.

3. Click the "edit" link next to Posting and Archives.

4. Under Archives, click the radio button next to "Members".

5. Don't forget to click "save Changes" button once done.

Click management lower left column of your home page then beside web tools  click  messages.  scroll down   to posting and archives click edit.  Make your selection click save changes.
