  1. beside all answers, the bestway is that you make partitions of your hard disk (number of partitions depends the total capacity of your hard disk, dont make partitions atleast 6 GB per partition) just put cd on your drive of XP, restart your pc, run CMOS and set "CD" the first boot drive, restart, the XP setup will run automatically and then you will be getting detail on screen that what u can do.

other programs and other ways can give quick solutions of your problems but they are not reliable.

    hope you can done it!!

  2. If you have only one hard drive You have to Partition it,but if you have already operating system installed ,you can not ,cause it happens when you install your operating system ,it will ask you if you want to partition,

There are ways you can make virtual drive ,you have to know what you doing or else you cause yourself some headache..TO get some idea where to look in your computer go to Contorl Panel >>Administrative tools>>Computer management>>storage>>disk management ,

  3. He's either partitioned his drive or has 6 physical drives in his computer.

I doubt its the second thing, so yeah...

You should be able to do it with partition magic or with Vista's built in management tool.

Google for a guide though, you don't want to mess up your computer and format your drive or something on accident.

  4. You can still partition it if it has an operating system on it already. You just have to use a program like partition magic. It works great.

  5. which OS?

  6. Several ways, the most upfront way is to install a new hard drive to your system, you can also partition your hard drive, basically cutting pieces out of the pie, if you will. Each of the partitions will have its own letter assigned to it.

Please note that you cannot partition your C:\ drive as it has your OS on it. Unless you want to reinstall it and wipe everything off of your computer.
