How can i make cotton candy mix?

I have a cotton candy maker, i could go to the store and buy the mix but i want to learn how to make it. Now if anybody might suggest not to use home made mix i could consider it with a good reason.

Just mix 1 cup of water, 5 cups of 100% sugar and 1 cup of corn syrup and put it in your cotton candy maker..

Just use granulated sugar.  If ou can find some powdered vanilla, add 1/4 tsp of that to about 2 lbs. of sugar for flavor.

OR

Google "Flossine", which is a powdered coloring and flavoring for cotton candy.
