How can i make friends using the tamagotchi v5 version?

i dont know how to make friends using the v5 tamagotchi version. i have gone to tamatown but i don't see anything that says how to make friends and then check them on the friends list. how can i do that?

You can't make friends by using tamatown. You have to make friends in REAL LIFE by connecting your tamagotchi with other people's tamagotchi. To connect with someone else's tamagotchi, both of you have to go to the 5th icon (the one with the heart), and then select CONNECT. So then both of you have to face your tamagotchi toward eachother facing the infra-red light. Then you just watch them connect!
