well u have to come across as not flirty and a s**t so then u talk to them about music or u wait for them to start the ball rolling.

just say hi, introduce yourself and ask if they need help u ther.

Ask them what they are interested in, what kind of music they like. Talk to them about your interests. If they are new to your area ask them where they are from and how they like the town/school. It will all come pretty naturally if you have a few icebreakers.
