How can i make friends with the foreign exchange student from Korea?

She looks scared to death, and she speaks hardly any english. How can i make her feel welcome?!

Treat her like you would any other new student. She'll probably feel even more awkward if you start doing all the race things, just act as if she were another new student maybe things like "Awwwww, you/your hair is so cute!!! Maybe sometime you could do mine(or makeup or clothes etcetc" Don't speak fast though and try to use smaller words don't go . "Hi....My.....Na....me......Is......____ do.....you.....understand? Because that just makes people feel REALLY awkward....

Cook some Korean meals and make it feel like home!

Go on the internet and learn how to say a few simple phrases in Korean. Like "Hello" or even "You look nice today" or simple compliments like that. They will make her feel more comfortable around you. Find out what she likes to do, and take her to do it. Maybe invite her to a sleepover with all your friends and get to know her and play games and stuff with her. Good luck. =]

If you are at school and she is in one of your classes, just introduce yourself and tell her if she ever needs anything you can help out.  Maybe invite her to eat lunch with you.  Also, try asking her to do something with you after school... it can be anything from going to a cafe, hanging out at the mall, seeing a movie, going over to your house, etc.  

When I was in grade 10, I went to Germany as a foreign exchange student.  I was kind of scared and not understanding much German during my first week of school there...  I didn't really know how to introduce myself to people there, but the girls in my class were really nice.  They took me around the school, invited me to their houses, and showed me around the city and it made me feel really welcome there.  

The girl from Korea is probably a little shy and feeling lots of culture shock, so just be nice...  she probably wants to feel included but doesn't know what to do, so just invite her to do something with you.
