Mixing water with cornstarch makes an interesting concoction.  It feels hard at first but then if you stick your finger in it, it kind of melts.

Seriously though, i would recommend you mix a half cup of cornstarch, with about a quart of water..... put it in a sauce pan, and heat over medium flame, once it begins to boil, stir constantly (so it doesnt burn the sauce pan) until thick and almost lumpy! You have just made papier mache' Goo. It works its effective and goes alot longer than making the mixture cold! Oh, and its cheap too......you'll have a little more than a quart! But use this formula as a rule of thumb! Thank you!

mix half a cup of cornstrarch with half a cup of water, mix, and... voila! there goes your goo
