How can i make harder tackles in football?

i am a soft more in high school and am currently in the jv team. i want to play varsity but it pretty much comes down to size, I'm about 5'10'' and like 135. so I'm really not that big, i play safety/connor back, and I'm a pretty good tackler but i want to get better to make it on varsity. i have the technique down for tackling but can only make hard hits on kids my size. Does anyone know any exercises i can try to make me a more powerful hitter, like, workout routines?

  1. Workout in the gym a lot harder, but don't expect to see results until next year, but by that time, you should be on Varsity already because if you're not then you're just a bum.


  2. you're a soft more?  what the h**l is that?  a conner back?  you need to learn to spell before you worry about tackling


  3. If you already understand the technique, and size is the central issue, you must hit LOWER to increase your impact.  

  4. Bench, Squat, and Power Clean.

    One day do 5 sets of 5 reps

    Another Day do 3 sets of 3

    Another do three sets. 5 reps, 3 reps, 1 rep

    Another Day do three sets. 10 reps, 8 reps, 6 reps.

    And another day do three sets of ten.

    (only do the same lift every other day. Don't ever do the same lift two days in a row)
