  1. THERE ARE SOME MANY THINGS YOU HAVE TO KNOW BEFORE THIS  CAN BE ANSWERED.1,WHAT SIZE COND. UNIT & AIRHANDLER IS IN YOUR CONDO2,WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU HAD IT CLEANED

AND SERVICED?3,WHEN DID YOU CHANGE THE FILTER LAST?4,WHEN WAS THE CHARGE CK'D(refrigerant)?5, HAVE YOU ADJ. THE VENTS IN THE ROOMS THAT YOU DON'T USE AS MUCH,TO PUSH MORE AIR INTO THE ONES YOU DO USE? WHAT DO YOU SET THE THERMOSTAT TO WHEN YOU LEAVE?(don't turn it off,set it up maybe 10/15%),PEOPLE DO-NT UNDERSTAND THE WAY AN A/C WORKS,THEY THINK IT JUST THROWS COLD AIR INTO THE HOUSE,ETC.

IT DOESN'T.IT TAKES THE AIR THATS IN THERE AND REMOVES THE CONDENSATION AND HEAT THATS IN THERE HENCE//AIR-CONDITIONER// BET YOU DID-NT KNOW THAT MOST COST INCURS ON START UP,BECAUSE IT HAS TO WORK SO HARD TO PULL ALL THE HEAT&HUMIDITY FROM THE AIR. IF THE UNIT IS CLEAN(COILS,BLOWER,OUTSIDE COILS) AND THE CHARGE (REFRIG.) IS CORRECT,AND OF COURSE THE ALL IMPORTANT FILTER,IF ALL THESE THINGS ARE DONE,AND THERE IS A 15TO20% DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE AMBIENT INSIDE AIR TEMP,ITS DOING JUST ABOUT ALL IT CAN DO.MAKE SURE THE TONAGE OF THE A/C IS ENOUGH TO COVER THE SQ.FOOTAGE OF YOUR CONDO. MAYBE THIS WILL GET YOU STARTED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION,GOOD LUCK

  2. Check for frost on the coil.Run your blower by itself for half an hour and turn the cool off. Then run her as normal and see if that helps.Good luck.

  3. be sure the filter is clean and stays cleaned.  the a/c process depends on the efficient flow of air through the unit. check the evaporative coils (if it is a central unit).  the evaporative coils may be easily viewed by removing the filter and looking into the unit from underneath.  these too should be very clean.  any buildup of dust, dirt or grimy looking residue is not good and also leads to inefficient air flow through the unit.  if you look into the unit and see a blower motor instead of the coil, your evaporative coil cannot be easily viewed and will require a HVAC tech to inspect.

  4. Change the filter once a month.  You also might want to call a repairman to have your freon checked.  You may need to have some added. Good Luck!
