How can i make my ankles stronger?

after i run or jump in track and field, my ankles hurt so much I can hardly walk on them. what can i do to reduce the pain?

  1. anckle braces. maybe try to icy hot. and do anckle streches! those combined should strengthen your ankles


  2. hold a dumbell and do sits with your ankles

  3. what ever u do do not take painkillers because if ur school does a suprise drug test it will show up negative. that pain naturally comes with the common athelte. do not use ankle weights that makes them worse. if the are swollen ice them. my ankles and knees hurt after i play basketball and im in the 11th grade. hopefully ur pain will discontinue soon. if u have track practice everyday u should give them a rest every now and then.

  6. Well you can do ankle exercises by getting on the stairs and having your tipy toes on the edge of a step and life up and down while holing on the the railing.

  8. You might have shin splints??  Might want to check that out.

    Other than that you might want to place a weight on your foot, (the ones that can be strapped on) and just move your ankle around, other than that there aren't really any ankle related exercises.
