  1. For running slow there are many causes:

Microsoft Registry Problems = Slow Computer!

    Spyware/Adware

    RAM

    De-Fragmenting

    Etc.

Below can help you speed up your pc:

For  IE, click Tools, Internet Options  delete files (offline files) clear history (set days to save to 0 if you want) click o.k., and Restart

For Firfox, press ctrl+shift+del, and click clean private data.

    Manage your startup:

Open your Start menu  ->  Click Run ->  In the command screen type "msconfig.exe" ->  In the "system configuration utility", click either "service" or "startup" tab ->  Uncheck all programs that your are no longer using.

    De-Fragmenting

    1. Right click of C Disk.

    2. Click properties.

    3. Click tools tab.

    4. Click "Defragment now".

    5. Click Defragment.

You can search which process full use you cpu, and end the process.

    Under steps:

  2. First suggestion is to not post your birthdate like that on the internet, haven't you heard of predators and/or identity theft?  They'll have a field day with that information girlfriend!

Your question ... there are lots of ways to make your system faster, here's my top suggestions:

Clean your system and remove programs you don't use.

Defragment your system at least once a month.

Turn off any startup items that you don't need to run.  To do this:

    Click Start

    Click Run

Type "msconfig" without quotes and enter

    Select the "Startup" tab

Select "disable all" and do NOT apply.  Go back through the list and put a checkmark beside any items that are associated with your antivirus/antispyware programs.  There could be multiple files for each, and you can tell what program the file is associated with my looking in the Command line name.  Once you've enabled just those things, click "apply" and restart.  When it reboots, check on "ignore this warning" at the bottom of the box that comes up, you're good to go.  This single procedure will drastically increase your performance if you had a long list of items enabled in that menu before.

You can increase your virtual RAM.  Virtual RAM is an amount of space assigned on your hard drive to act just the same as actual RAM.  Of course it doesn't, so don't go getting all excited about jacking your computer up to 20 gigs or anything like that.

Virtual RAM can be adjusted through the Control Panel/Performance and Maintenance/System/Hardware.  Halfway down the little box that opens up you'll see Virtual Memory settings.  Go in there, set the minimum and maximum to the same level.  The size should be based on your existing real RAM, so if you have 2 gigs of real RAM, you should set your virtual RAM to THREE times that amount maximum.  Once you've inputted the figures remember to push "set" on the right or it won't take.  You'll then need to re-start your system for it to be recognized.

    Hope all this helps.

  3. Now that I know you are 18 years old, it makes it a lot easier to answer your question. short answer get moar ram. long answer reinstall you OS after selecting by hand what you want to keep. and the replace your hard drive with something like a 7200 rpm drive, and then add moar ram.

  4. I don't know how it your pc is because depending on how old it is sometimes its time to get a new one. If it's fairly recent there are a few things you can do to improve proformance. Clean the temporary files every now and then and clean the unused icons if you don't need them, defrag the hard drive this will improvme the performance, add more RAM into the PC today it's good if you have at lest 2GB (Gigabytes) of memory, Try not to have unnessasary programs running in the background.  You can go into the Task Maager by pressing CTRL, ALT and DEL if your running Vista it goes to a menu and click start task manager if your running XP it comes up without a menu. In the performance tab you can see how much memory is being used if it's between 40-60 % its ok but 70-90% more memory is needed. These numbers in the task manager will change a lot

  5. Check http://www.pc-optimizer-pro.com

With pc optimizer pro you can safely clean, repair and optimize your computer.

It will help improve your system performance without expensive hardware upgrades.

  6. try taking off some programs you don't use.

  7. Get better hardware. More RAM will help you run larger programs, a better CPU will help with calculations and a 10k RPM drive will help all disk access.

  8. Using a registry cleaner can clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some regsitry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".

Everytime you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you've installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it's Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Regisry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically!

There are some comparison and review of TOP 5 registry cleaners.
