Delete things that affect your processes.

Don't have any background processes running

Press Alt+Ctrl+DEL to see your task manager.

The more processes you have the slower your PC will go.

Uninstall useless ones :)

I know you said you don't want to buy, but a 1GB RAM is like what? 40 bucks these days online?

Scan your computer for spyware using a program like hitman pro. Defrag your computer once a month, Close programs that are not in use, do a virus scan, get rid of old files that you don't need anymore, run a virus scan and run an error check.

There is an awesome program that deletes the stuff you don't need on your computer (such as temp files).

It's called CCleaner (renamed from c**p Cleaner).

go to start control panel and remove programs

besides that, unless you want to overclock your cpu or ram i would recommend buying ram (cheap)

what you can do is go to start then run and type in temp and delete this all it is is a temporary file that is used for like your browser memory and with enough it can slow down your computer

uninstall any programs you dont use, run disk defragments use disk clean up , clean out old temp internet files, use faster internet browser like firefox and turn off anykind of program you dont use or want
