How can i make my computer secure as it can get with easy programmes that dont pop up all d time?

i got ariva anti virus and avg what else do i have i got spy where blaster what else do i need and i only want programmes that are free please am i secure??

First off, I noticed two AVs. This tends to cause problems so I would suggest using only one. Uninstall the other. I personally like AVG and have used it for the last few years. Make sure you are using 8.0. If you are not sure, go ahead and download it again from free.grisoft.com. Next, you need something to handle the c**p that gets by an AV like some spyware programs. You can go with Spybot or Adware, but believe it or not, Windows Defender works just fine on an already clean machine. That you can get from MS. I also add one other program to my list of defensive programs. Its a program called threatFire and it catches all the things that most traditional AVs (AVG, Norton, etc) don't because they do not have virus definitions for them yet. You can get it at http://www.threatfire.com/. It also handles root kits.  All of these are free and I have had great success with them. Good luck.

you are secured but if you want to protect your computer the more then try (pc tools firewall plus) it is absolutely free and very reliable

Now lets clean up your disk.

Do a Disk Cleanup and Disk Defrag. You can find both of them by following the path below.

Start > My Computer > (Right click) on your HD >  Properties > Tools > Defragment > Defragment now  . Let it do its thing. You can check every box that has something to delete.

Now follow the same path and do a Disk Cleanup. Note that if you havent defraged in a while or you have never degraged before, that it will take a while, just be paitent and let it do its thing

Another way to improve your computers preformance is by reducing the graphical settings.

Heres how!

Start - Control Panel - System - Advanced (tab) - Preformance (Section) - Settings (Button)

you can turn off everything if you want, or just a few things, it removes all the extra stuff to make your interface look pretty, but can be turned off to get better preformance

Finally turn off indexing.

Click on My Computer>right click on C drive> left click on Properties. Now uncheck allow indexing. A windows pops up, just click Ignore All and then Apply. Let it do its thing.

After applying the suggestions above you will have a clean and faster computer. Enjoy.

Note: Just installing the software alone does not help. Keep the Antivirus & Antispyware definitions updated and scan your pc atleast once a week.
