How can i make my curly hair wavy?

ive tried braids but they just made it frizzy and too wavy. And i dont want to use any irons.Thanks!And my hairs naturally curly and thick,long and brown so i want it to look like this http://www.hairresources.com/images/sce/katebeckinsale806250.jpg

blow dry ur hair while brushing it with a flat brush like you would regularly brush ur hair but use a de-frizz creme

Try braids again but this time put in aussie mousse/leave in conditioner and shine spray. Braid your hair in 1-2 braids, braid it loosely, and you should have perfect waves!
