  1. First of all you must know the reason for pollution.

      1) change the engine oil as per the manufacturer's specification.

      2) Don"t use adulterated fuel.

      3) Don"t accelerate all of a sudden

      4) Clean silencer in frequent Interval

      5) Keep your engine in good condition

  2. look up electric motorcyle on Youtube, I've seen a couple of home made scoots that looked really impressive

One thing I would like to see is a trike with a diesel motor converted to run on vegetable oil.

  3. U did not mention the model of your bike....requirements like efficiency, cubic capacity...etc

    mail me at ranilkumar1981@yahoo.com

  4. Like the first guy said, get a Schwinn

  5. ride a schwin

  6. Don't start it.

  7. Unless you want to spend 10's of thousands of dollars you can't.. Motorcycles are very fuel efficeint as is so why are you concerned. Global Warming is a scam to make Al Gore and others rich so don't buy into it.

  8. you can't....bicycle it is.

  9. They have been selling pollution free bikes for well over 100 years. They have no motor. :--)

  10. Nothing is pollution free, especially not bicycles. Many experts agree that the energy in your food (depends on what you eat) releases more carbon than the energy in gasoline. Think about it. tractors, trucks, electricity to make, ship and process the food.

And electricity for batteries is produced mainly by coal. Fuel cells? not even close. Almost 100% of commercial hydrogen is made from natural gas. Ethanol is not "green" by a long shot.

The only way would be to get a battery-powered scooter and charge that by a solar cell, as referenced above. But you couldn't charge it at night and can't go very far. And then consider the fossil fuels sunk into the manufacture of all these components...the idea of 0-carbon emissions is a huge farce. My advice, stop listening to the media.

So, as you can see, your options are limited. You can disagree, but everything here is a FACT.

  11. To those who say that an electric bike is pollution free - how on earth do you figure that out? You need to re-charge it and that requires mains supply electricity, which comes from power stations, which in turn in most cases run on fossil fuels.

As others have eluded to, if you want a pollution free bike then get pedalling and good luck to you but I'll stick to the good old internal combustion engine.

  12. The link below may give you some ideas on how to build an electric motorcycle.  The current electric bikes have speed and distance limitations.

To make it pollution free you could go through Harbor Freight and get a 500 watt solar panel and a 30 amp charge controller.  You could use this to charge your bike at home using the sun.  This would add another $500 to your project though.

Another cool bike would be to convert a bike to run on E85.  It would not be pollution free, but would pollute less than a normal motorcycle.  You would need to convert the fuel system to be compatible with the ethanol in the E85.  Ethanol is corrosive and could cause problems if you don't take this into consideration.  You could also increase the engine compression ratio to take advantage of the 107 octane rating of E85.  This would give it more power.  The drawback would be that you could not use regular gasoline any more.

  13. ride a bicycle. That is the only way to be polution free.

An electric bike still emits pollution-think about it-where does the electricity come from????!?!?!?!?!
