How can i make my hair color last longer?

i just colored my hair and i don't want it to fade too quickly. What should i do to keep my color looking new?

Wait 48 hours after coloring to shampoo because it gives the cuticle time to close back (alot of technicle stuff behind this).  Use shampoo and conditioner made for color treated hair.  Look for a leave in or styling products with uv protectors and if you are exposed to long periods in the sun or tanning bed cover your hair with a hat or towel.

Try not to go swimming too often and you can buy special shampoo/conditioner for coloured hair.
