How can i make my house look christmasy with lights and stuff for christmas?

i don't want to make it too decorative. Just warm, comfortable and blend in with christmas!

I would watch HSN or QVC they are already selling the stuff before its even out in the store.They always have great ideas, sweet decor you will get so many ideas from the shows.Try to find what time they are showing Early Christmas Specials.I would diffently recommed this .I do why not?

that's a nice idea, mabye you could use a lot of red and green colors around the room, and use some pine wood furniture or something like it to go with the green and give your house a cozy wintery feel, and hang pictures of winter scenes.  The red and green colors might look more christmasy if you had some rich silver or gold accenys somewhere in the room. Those colors remind me of Christmas decorations.  I bet putting a norfolk island pine in a window somewhere would make it look christmasy in a subtle way.  How about some pine or christmas cookie scented candles or airfreshener, or any other smell that reminds you of christmas.  mabye evergreen garland on a mantle or staircaise might look nice without being too decorative.  that's about all I can think of, hope it helps
