How can i make my i-pod hold its charge longer?

my ipod wont hold its charge for more than an hour how can i fix that?

if youre playing games or watching video on it that uses alot of battery if not it might be faulty

First of all, yes It depends on what you are doing. video, music, photos. It also depends on the age. The older it is the less charge it will hold. And finally when you first got it did you charge it all of the way without using it until it was full and then run it to zero for a while? If no on one of these things then that could be the reason. If not, i can't help you. Also if no on one of them you will just have to go to the mac store and get a new battery.
