  1. Stop giving in to him .  Don't give him milk until he has eaten regular food.

  2. Keep offering the food to him, even if he refuses to try any of it initially. He may just not be ready to try different foods. Be patient and persistent, but don't force anything.

Also try talking with your son's pediatrician/nutritionist for some suggestions.

  3. If all else fails talk to his doctor.  Try fun foods, or finger foods.  Has he been eating baby food?

  4. Never bribe, force, or cajole a kid to eat or you will dig yourself a deeper and deeper hole. My one year old can read me so quick- I have to have a poker face while he's spitting food out (food I spend a lot of time planning and preparing), mashing it up in his hair or watching it fall from his hands to the floor. At this age, the more you push the more turned off he'll be. Offer 5 or 6 very small amounts of different kinds of foods on his tray, finger foods etc, like beans, peas, whole wheat crackers, Oh's stuffed with lentils, melon etc...Don't get in the reward mode with any food items either. IF he wants a little more of something give it, but when it's gone it's gone. We all have appetites for different things at different meals right?  Eat at the same time he does and make small talk, casually. People like to eat when other people are eating, it's a social thing as well as physical. Nobody wants a spoon shoved in their face with someone constantly commenting on their appetite or selection. Not that you do this, just keep in mind, it's hard to just shut up when you think your kid isn't eating enough. Is he growing, is he healthy? If so, relax, offer a variety of healthy foods, and trust that he'll eat them when he is hungry.

  5. Tomorrow, count how many bottles you are giving him. Then the next day give him one less bottle and offer more healthy foods and some water. try this for a few days. If he still isn't eating much, decrease the bottle by another one and then offer him more foods and water. try this for a few days. Eventually, he will be hungry and try the foods. you are filling him up with milk, why does he need to eat.

You can also offer food and say, eat this and then you get your milk. Just make him take one small bite, then in a couple of days make it two bites, etc. Good luck!

  6. Make his food fun and interesting. Let him play with food (like spaghetti), he will eventually taste it and he'll enjoy it.

  7. I show my kid the yo gabba gabba party in your tummy video and then tell him the food wants to come to the party

  8. It's unusual for a child not to want to try anything else.  Is everything ok health wise?  Also, some kids just take longer to learn how to eat other things, so if everything is fine medically, you may just have to be patient.  I doubt he'll be malnourished, but you will have to consult a pediatrician if you continue to have problems.
