How can i make my xbox 360 run at 1080p on a hannspree hf229h monitor ?

  2. Well, the question would be whether or not your monitor supports 1080p at all. In terms of getting the two connected and your Xbox 360's display settings correct, here's what to do...

    1) Use the HDMI cable to connect the Xbox 360 to the TV. Note that if you have another AV cable connected, like the one that ships standard with the Xbox 360, you'll need to disconnect it first. On the Xbox 360, the HDMI port should be just below the standard AV port.

    2) Power on your Xbox 360 and go to the Settings blade. Go to System Settings, then go to Display, then go to Aspect Ratio (I believe... it's the top selection on this menu).

    3) From this menu, select 1080p. The system should readjust and, if all works well, the display will come back up and ask you to confirm the change. If all is working well, select Save Changes. If not, don't touch anything; your Xbox 360 will revert to the previous settings in a few moments.
