How can i make new furnace fan quieter?

new mid efficiency furnace. much stronger fan than old low efficiency furnace. but way too loud. scares the dog each time it starts blowing.

Call the company that installed the furnace and see if they can turn the fan down to a lower speed. As long as the fan motor is balanced, turning it down to a lower speed is one of the few options to making it quieter.

with a new furnace also comes a more efficient fan ,often it needs more air on the intake side if the fan is starving it will whistle.  be sure all your cold air return holes are as large as the structure will allow .  secondly all furnaces have a fresh air intake check that the flex hose is not squashed, also restricting needed air . finely and most costly is insulating all your duct work.
