How can i make some new friends?

today was my 2nd day at high school and i dont have a lot of my friends in some classes. i have biology with sophmores and 3 other freshman and studyhall is all seniors! im really shy and i want to make some friends in biology, algebra, and cooking.

biology is sophmores and i dont know what to really say since i dont know anyone.

i know a lot of people in algebra but would like to make some friends with more people.

and i know someone in cooking from 8th grade who sat by me in L.A. and we arent too close.

what are some things to say in those classes and anything in general i could say in any class?

It's all about making small talk and being out going and you will meet friends in time. I remember when I was in high school I met my two best friends when I started talking to one in the rest room and the other was as lost as I was and we helped each other find our class. Don't worry you will meet friends soon and you'll know soon who you actually want to be friends with. Just relax and you will be fine.
