Question:

How can i make starting for freashmen in basketball?

im 14....6 feet tall......140 lbs....i can run a 4.72....40 yard dash and i can run a mile in like six minutes lol but i need to work on basketball skills like shooting, and dribbiling what is a weekly schedule for me to do......Monday:do this

Tuesday:do this

Wednesday:do this

And friday saturday and sunday do this

  1. it depends where you're at. If you are amazing and at a little school they sure you will. But if you are just average or at a huge school then you're chances are very slim.  


  2. um first it might have helped if u said if you were a girl or guy, because as a 6 foot girl you should concentrate on your height but if your a 6 foot guy your hieght is only average. but I'll still try and help. As a girl I was able to make my varisty team my freshmen year and the reason i did so well was because how much i was in shape. I ran cross country which means running like 5 miles a day. But if your focusing on basketball only I would say try to run about three times a week and spread out your runs. Like run on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday or somthing like that. Then two of the remaining days say tuesday and friday do weight training. work on your legs and arms with weights. and everyday work on shooting practice all sorts of shoots like layups and then even some 3s. and always set a day to let your body relax like take off sundays and let your body recover or only do some light shooting on that day and dont really break a sweat. and good luck!
