How can i make sure all traces of baby oil are removed before i put on eye make up?

i bought GOSH waterproof eyeliner and eyeshadow and the "EXTREME" eyeliner is soo waterproof it didnt budge with my WATERPROOF eyemake up remover. so i put on baby oil to get it off. i used my eye make up remover after the baby oil to remove traces of baby oil but i think its kind of still oily if i try to reapply make up it might go everywhere,,, so, what can i use to make sure its gone? im rather timid about putting frothing soap in my eye area as when i try to wash it away i always get soap in my eyes... is there a trick to it? or something else i can use other than soap and eye make up remover? or should the remover be enough? the oily eye make up remover always leaves them oilt too which causes a mess, how to get around this?

Don't use baby oil to take off your eye makeup.  As you've figured out, it makes a huge mess.  I like Lancome BiFacial eye makeup remover  because it doesn't make my eyes burn, it takes everything off easily without rubbing, and it doesn't leave a residue behind so you can reapply your makeup immediately if you want to without washing the eye area first.

a cleanser almost always gets rid of oil however if u use powder such as baby powder it will absorb the oil
