How can i make this look better?

Question

i stenciled my cabinets but i need to do something else to the stencil its too plain; what should i do to the bamboo stencil to make it more interesting? i want to add some kind of detail to the bamboo.

put some more stencils on but not straight up and down, look at some Japanese Ukeyo-e  prints of nature scenes, many are rife with bamboo.  That may inspire you.  Anyway, angle them, cross some over, lengthen some by first doing the bottom only, lift the stencil then replace it where ou left off and then fill in the rest of the way, shorten some by moving the stencil lower.  All in all if you give it a more natural feel with out overcrowding it I think you will like it a little more.

I think the bamboo looks nice, but is out of place against the plain white cabinet and brown wall.  I'd paint the brown wall a cheerier colour to tie in the bamboo.

Get a gold or silver marker and draw along all the bottom and right edges, it will make it look a bit more three dimensional.

Or put the stencil back on and dry brush some shading on with a slightly darker colour.

I would place another bamboo stenciled image on each door at an angle and of a warmer color like red or even a red-purple.  It should be a diagonal from the top of the original bamboo toward the bottom edge of the door.  

Another idea is to add three additional bamboos.  They could be partial at the same direction that I described above, angular.  You could make them different natural colors like one gray, another one beige and a third one some kind of pale yellow.They don't have to be the same angle.  You might want one or more of them to overlap or cut through each other.  You could do a kind of mock-up on large paper and see how each idea looks before placing it on the doors.  Then, choose which idea you like the most.

i think that you should put something in the middle of it. i would have painted the doors an entirely different color. the white tones bores me. >.>
