  1. Yes u have to make a network id u alredy don't have one.

You can make one easily via control panel. On the desktop u will change the settings to allow other computers to have access to ur printers. Then u must connect the laptop to the network and thenmn from the laptop to go to  network devices. Open the destops folder and click on the folder printers. Make the printer as default!!!!

If u need help contact me on my email.

  2. does your PC and your sis' laptop have a LAN/WLAN ports? try setting up a P2P (peer-to-peer) network... then share your printer to your sis' laptop...

  3. If the 2 computers are in a network via a router (wireless or wired) first go to Start->Settings->Printer and Faxes, right click on your printer and select sharing, and click on Share this Printer.

Then go to Start->Settings->Printer and Faxes from your sister's laptop and select Add a printer. Click on Next. Select "A network printer or a printer attached to another" computer and click next. Select "Browse for a printer" and you should see your printer in a list. Your printer has to be on and connected to your computer during the whole procces. However, the laptop can only print when your computer is on and connected to the network. If you want to print freely your router must have a USB port to connect your printer to. If it does see the router's instructions manual.

What I said above works for Windows XP. I cannot help you with any other OS.

I hope it helps you :D

  6. very simple connect your pc and your sister's laptop with lan cable or wifi if you got in both desktop and laptop.and then share the printer.you can also share files, internet connection etc by doing this

  7. Yes,

you need to create a "Home Network".   You need either an ethernet or wireless setup, and you need to share the printer via printer sharing, set te permissions, and connect her computer to it.   If the printer has network capability, all you need to do is attach it to the network, give it a static IP and map it to the computers via a Port or add printers.
