How can i obtain a Texas driver's license or permit if i am 17 years old?

The issue is i live in houston and i have went to three different dps offices and according to them they do not accept foreign high school dipolomas i live here but i went to a private school in london and now i'm off to college in london but whilst i'm here i want to drive legeally so can any one give me information on ways to obtain my license despite being 17 and haveing a foreign high school dipolma

  1. You dont need a high school deploma, you might have to take the driving classes again because Texas is stupid. But you do need proof that you attend a school. So you need to talk to you school about that and the dmv people.

  3. That's funny I didn't think that you needed a high school diploma to get a permit...I just thought that you just go through Drivers Ed and take the drivin' test and that's that.  Sorry I can't help you out
