How can i obtain a full plumbers license in brisbane after coming over from the uk?

can anyone tell me how i can obtain my full plumbing license in brisbance. i have a formal qualification from the uk and my provisional license but want to get my full license.

You MAY need to do a TAFE course. But, you do not need to undertake training in areas where you are already competent.

Make sure that when you enrol in the TAFE course in Plumbing or Drainage you ask about “Recognition of Prior Learning” and request an assessment.  "REPEAT - request an assessment"

The TAFE College will then provide you with the opportunity to have your skills and knowledge assessed.

You may think you have already been assessed in the UK, but this is different, as it is State based not Immigration. :(

Look up Plumber on the following page which gives the official requirements for registration of overseas qualifications for immigration purposes. You will be required to have your skills assessed prior to approval of your work visa application.

you might have to do the full apprentice ship because u are from a different country.

I'm doing plumbing at the moment and the course at TAFE goes for six months then they put you into an apprenticeship and you have to do that for 3 years after that you are a fully qualified plumber
