How can i open a saving account in PNB(Punjab National Bank)?

What are the documents needed for this.

I don't have any address proof since i am staying in hostel.

Punjab national bank is having any where banking facility.  Hence, i suggest you open an account specifying the premenant address of your parent's home and address for communication as your Hostel's.

And anyhow, you will have address proof in the ration card or election card.

Even if you do not posses any of the above, you can get a letter from your institute mentioning that you are a student of their' residing at so and so hostel want to open an account. do the needful which can be used as address proof.

I assume that you are a student in which case a letter of identity from the School principal and since you are staying in hostel, hostel can give a bonafide letter about your stay in the hostel.  If you are a foreigner, your account opening will be highly cumbersome due to various money laundering activities that take place.  You can talk to your principal.  If you have migrated from one part of india to another part, you go to PNB in your area and open an account and then transfer the same to your present place
