Question:

How can i open a video?

The video can only be opened by AVHD or something like that. I want to open it with something like windows movie player or quicktime. Help?

Anymore mroe information needed say it and i will repost the question

  1. AVCHD is a compression method used by certain high definition camcorders that record to hard drive, flash memory and DVD based storage camcorders.

    Not all video editors can deal with all the different manufacturer's AVCHD implementations.

    MovieMaker cannot handle AVCHD at all.

    The current version of Sony Vegas can handle Sony's version of AVCHD.

    Adobe software can deal with Canon - I think.

    Apple's iMovie, FinalCut Express and FinalCut Pro can deal with different camcorder manufacturers AVCHD implementations, but they MUST be current versions of the software.

    QuickTime cannot deal with it directly.

    What camcorder model do you have? I think you are using Windows since you said MovieMaker can't handle it...


  2. First check the file extension of your file and see if this is supported by any other software, if yes then rub this programme and click file/open end run it. The link below is a good programme ams plays most files. If you want to transcode the file to mp4 or whatever click  file/wizard/transcode.
