The best way of overcoming most fears is to let it happen.  Next time you see a blimp, run out in front of it.  They may be big, but they don't move very fast and they don't pack much of a punch.  Once you let one nudge you, you'll realize there's nothing to be afraid of...

I don't know where you live but I see a blimp about once in a never-ever. The only places that have blimps anymore is sports stadiums. Blimps fly really slow. So I'm pretty sure that if you see a blimp falling from the sky, then you can get out the way very quick.

Blimps also don't fly at people on the ground.

Invite the Blimp out on a non-threatening date, such as a lunch or trip to the park. Get to know the blimp, and once you are comfortable enough with the thought of being around it, take the Blimp to a more romantic location, you know - a night on the veranda at an exclusive restaurant, maybe a glass of wine to lighten the mood - stuff like that.
