I'm travelling overseas and I need to bring a sleeping bag. I can't bring a regular one because it would wiegh toomuch(my bag can only weigh 50 lbs) and it would take up about half of my suitcase. All the sleeping bags that roll up about the size of a football are really expensive. Does anyone know where to get a cheap one that rolls up that small? Or how to majorly compress a normal sized sleeping bag?

  1. Spock has it right, a space bag will do it, it will also then fit right into the bottom of your suit case and you can pack stuff around it. if that fails. this is what we did when we went camping to Hawaii. We took a 2 person TENT, 2 sleeping bags, a fry pan and 2 dishes, I put it all into one suit case and packed all our clothing in the other suit case. worked fine. make sure you suit case is a soft side expandable style, and light weight too

  2. Put it in a "spacebag" -- hook up the vacuum pump and pump all the air out . It will be squeezed down into a much smaller size.
