How can i participate in a car racing?

The cheapest way I know is racing the front wheel drive class at some of the local dirt tracks around here,I have seen complete turn key cars go for as little as $500 and if you took $700 to $800 on any given night I would bet you could by one.

Depends upon what you mean by participating........

While I'm waiting to hit the lottery so I can finally buy a touring dirt Super Late Model  (and the $300,000 toter home multi-car hauler of course) I'm volunteering as a member of Eagle Raceway's towing crew.  

It's not the most glamorous of jobs, but I get into the track for free, get a great seat in the infield (the back of a tow truck), get very close to the action (actually I'm one of the ones picking up the pieces AFTER the action but  I'm still close), and even get my picture taken (usually as I'm picking up the pieces).

Seriously if owning/driving a car isn't an option (and if you're new to the sport it really isn't) then volunteer to work at a track or for a crew.  Most people won't turn away volunteers even if you don't know a thing (it's been two and half months and I still mix up the controls on the tow truck).  It's a great way to get your foot in the door and meet people.  If you're lucky it might turn into something more.

Do you mean quarter mile racing or circle track /road racing? Go to your local track and get some info. If you don't have a track near you just search on the Internet for racing schools or instructors. I race a mustang cobra in the 1/4 mile every weekend and have been doing it with out any help from anyone. Just do it! Good luck................

Try Go-Karting.  Find the nearest track and go check it out.  Go-Karts can range in top speeds from about 30 to 100 mph.  Anybody can race (ages 8 and up)  Most go-kart tracks have rental services, so you can go rent a kart for an hour or so and see how you like it.  Good luck!
