Keep a tab on the local tabaloids which runs a column for the events happening in and around your locality... You dont need to be a pro for participating as every race has a amateur category... I recently participate in a rally organised by Gymkhana club where by we had to drive 60 Kms with the assistance of a blind person ... who gives us directions with the help of a braille map given to him..... We found that really interesting....

Also - All said and done... we have our Google... set an alert in google for news items tagged as "car Rally"... you will be notified if any news comes.....
