  1. Oye!

Okay for starters, are you independent of your parents?  Meaning do you live on your own, work, and what not?  If they aren't claiming you on their taxes, you're independent.  From there, what college do you want to attend?  Community college or college.  It's easier to start off at a community college then transfer to a bigger college and most community colleges are working hand in hand with this 60/60 transfer thingamagig.  If you start out with a community college, enroll.  Either go in and seek the Enrollment services office.  NEXT... first thing first, apply for FAFSA!  Either go online: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/index.htm or if you still don't get it or understand or need help, seek out the help of a financial aid counselor at the school of your choice.  They will help you out.  Keep in mind that, if you filed your own taxes last year you will need that info to file for your fafsa.  If you didn't file but your parents filed and claimed you as a dependent, then you're going to need their tax info.  DO fill out the Fafsa, though it does seem like a big pain in the ***, because you could possibly qualify for free money (grants), work-study, all pays for school and you don't pay it back.  If you don't qualify for that, then there are the federal school loans that you DO NOT need to qualify for with credit.  It's guaranteed money.

I hope this helped though it's a lot of info.  If anything, FILE YOUR FAFSA!!!
