My brother's moving out soon because his girlfriend's pregnant.

I want my boyfriend to move in and have my brothers room, but my parents wont let him.

It's not because they don't approve of him. They have met him and they both like him. In-fact, they have known him for years, he's my brothers friend.

What's the point in wasting a room though ?

Oh and my boyfriends 18 so he could legally move out of his house. . .

  1. its not a good idea. your parents probably think it will be a waste of time cos you might not be together long. maybe when you've established a proper relationship they might rethink.

  2. They might not want you to get pregnant. It is for your safety

  3. how old are you? that might be why they won't let him move in. or they don't want any hanky panky going on under ther roof unless it's them

  4. ^I agree with the guy above completely.^

  5. Why in the world would you expect your parents to foot the housing bill for your boyfriend?  So you can have better access to shag???  That is SO disrespectful.  He is not your parents' child, and he is not their responsibility.

As a parent, there is NO way I would invite some guy to live in my house, so he can nail my daughter.  NO way.

  6. I don't think there's anything you can do. It's their house, so you should stick by their rules or just wait till you are 18 and move out somewhere with your boyfriend.

  7. why would he want to move in with u cause they'll have to kick him out when u break up

  8. Its a BAD idea to let the boyfriend move in

For one, it does not give you a good reputation..  this is a good way for nasty rumours to spread.

Its not a good idea anyways.. you and your boyfriend are both young, and are not ready for a serious relationship that invovles living together..  what if you get into a fight and break up 6 months later?  You parents cant just "kick him out" then.. they'd have to actually give him an eviction notice.

Your parents also may not want to give you the impression that they actually approve of the idea.. or they may be concerned that living together may provide you and your bf more "oppourtunities" to do things you shouldnt be doing.

Its your parent's house.. they can do what they want with the room..  for all you know, they may have plans for that room..  it may become an office or den.
