  1. Other than the obvious your already too old answer. which you are by the way.  Go to a track, do a few track days, get quick enough that someone notices. try for a wild card ride.

But i Think you will find that the kids who have been riding bikes since they could walk will eat you alive on the track. there is thinking your quick or can learn to be quick.

and there is quick.         One day at the track will soon have you choosing another career path.

Sorry but your too old already

  2. Start off racing motocross like i've just done

It's a lot cheaper than road racing, but still expensive! If u do exceptionally well in that (and it's probably harder than road racing to succeed in amatuer levels tbf) then you'll be sponsored and so on and it may let you to move onto the road.

But if u want to be the next Rossi or Casey Stoner, you need to be in Moto GP at your age now, or at least a national champion by 11 years old and moving up to moto gp by the age of 16!

  3. basically you need very very rich parents who can afford to buy you one every time you crash it.. and pay for using the track

    then you just get good

  4. There's been others that didn't start as a kid.   http://www.roadracingworld.com/resources... Find your local race series get a novice license and start racing.

You have to attain a racing license before you can race.

If you haven't tried yet I'd suggest a track day http://www.roadracingworld.com/guide/det... that's the cheapest way to get on the track to see if you even have any skills. Actually making a career out of this is very difficult, just like in any sport, millions try, only a few make it to the PROs. You'll be paying for all your racing when you start out, probably working a few jobs just to pay for tires. If you are super fast maybe you'll get some help, although you'll still be working those jobs to support your racing habit. If you can work your way up through harder and better race series, maybe you'll be offered a ride.

  5. Ok to the top answerers that keep saying hes too old, that may be true for the Moto GP level, BUT for american level racing its possible to race nation wide at any age.  I started racing with WERA at age 18 then at 19 raced with AMA. Its no where near as big as moto gp but for americans its as big and as high as you can get with superbike racing. The only diff is you only race nation wide instead of world wide.

SO the best way to start is by getting a bike and investing a LOT of time and money into trackdays at any local race track. Do that for a while and see how it feels and get comftorble on a track. ONCE you feel your ready take a weekend or two and sign up for a race school. Learn all you can from it. ( i skipped that step though cause i had tallent).

Anyways once you do all that register the bike during a race weekend at the clostest track you can. Before you race though make sure you have plenty of spare parts and someone who can take the bike apart and put it together with their eyes closed cause its not if you wreck its when you wreck.

So thats about it after you make it that far it all depends on how well you do and so on. Good luck and hope you make it.

  6. At 19 my friend, unless you are as gifted as  Rossi, you are are about 15 years to late in asking this question.

The people who see riding in the WSB races all started races bikes at certain levels when they were about 4 ish.

The only rider to start late was Max Biaggi, who he was still starting at 13.

Sorry mate, too old, too late.
