How can i place my laptop hard drive into my desktop?

I have a dead laptop, but i don't want to throw it away. What can i do to use the left over such as hard drive, and some other parts of it? Thank you very much

It would depend on weather the HDD is PATA or SATA.  With a PATA you would need an that will connect the drive to a IDE cable.  With a SATA, just connect it to one of the available SATA controllers.

HDD for laptop and desktop is different, so what you can do is buy the casing for laptop HDD and you connect to desktop using USB connection
