How can i play dvdrip-dmt files to a vlc player?

i already downloaded vlc player and i couldn't play my dvdrip xvid-dmt/peppage files downloaded from torrent, i dont have that much knowledge regarding this software, so please help me.

The VLC should play a video encoded with XVid like that one.

I can think of two possibilities why not.

First, when I searched for dvdrip xvid-dmt/peppage the torrent that came up was a .rar download.  A .rar file is a compressed file like a .zip.

If that is the case for your download, then you need to unpack the .rar to get the playable movie.

I suggest the free 7Zip.  After you install it, just right-click on a .rar file and choose 7Zip and you will see the options to extract.

If the download is already a video file, then it is probably fake as VLC would play a legitimate XVid file.
