How can i play for the af2 or cfl ?

  1. For the CFL contact a team in April or May about giving you a try out. Send them your credentials and tell them you will pay your way to get to training camp. You should know the CFL is a lot harder to make than AF2. I'm not sure there are any former Division III players in it right now, mostly Division I and Canadian University, with the odd Division II.

    Sorry to ruin your hopes but as a Division III player your chances are not very good. Not sure if this will even work or not. I wish you the best of luck though.


  2. Do well in D3 and transfer to a D1 school or Canadian CIS. That is pretty much the only way. There is one player currently from Augustana College in South Dakota which is either NCAA 2 or 3.

    CFL players are generally smaller and faster than their NFL counterparts. AFL players are fast and can take quite a beating

Yeah, unless you're Canadian, D3 is not the way to go.  There are many former Div I stars in the CFL, so you wouldn't get a serious look after facing such a low level of competition, unless you absolutely dominate.  And even then, some team would need to be impressed enough with your highlight reel to offer you a tryout...
