hmm yeah i agree that most string to teeth playing will do some damage, but really: is it as bad as biting a coin? probably if u scrape it cuz it rubs on the enamel but here are some tips

1)try going back and forth on the strings as if ur picking them,

2) try to limit it to very special occasions or else ull look like a hockey player, and it could spread bacteria to ur teeth

3)FAKE IT, thats what i do, hide a pick in ur mouth and then just use that

4)use ur tongue instead, jk (thats what she said)

Who ever said Jimi Hendrix didn't damage his teeth?  Jimi Hendrix was great in a lot of ways, but self-preservation wasn't his trademark for a reason.

Any metal-to-teeth contact can't be good for you.
