How can i play multiplayer on stronghold crusaders?

like how to host a game and show steps how to host your own game

I never got mine to work correctly, the software is really bumpy.  I'm amazed that someone is even asking about this game as it is somewhat obscure.  

Me and my brother had a lot of fun building castles for computer defenders and leaving the attacking team very few resources and seeing what the other person would do to take down their fortress.  As far as networking goes I have little advise.
