I think the answer to your question is in the question itself (sort of)...By yourself.  You may look up the definition in the dictionary or allow me to paraphrase...If no one else is playing pool with you, then you are playing...by yourself.  Make sense? So when you and Donald are at the pool room, just ask him to sit out a game or two and don't ask anyone else to play.  Goal accomplished!

you are the high balls and then jimeny crickets goes to the table for the low ones.etc etc. no  problem.if he wins all the time then it's time to change names or high / low balls

yes, unless you start cheating on yourself, just think about yourself as the other player when you take turns on colored or striped...

I just play nine ball over and over agian. Other than that, I will just try difficult shots over and and over again til I get the hang of them.
