  1. The question is too broad. There are many ways to play with yourself.

  2. actually one of the things I like to do to sharpen my game is get onto a billiard table from time to time, 3 balls, no pockets.  it's an excelent way to work on my banks and caroms.  and I have no problem taking shot after shot after shot, never any racking

  3. Go to candystand.com it has billiards, 8-ball and many other types of games. Good Luck

  4. i enjoy playing games where i set up balls in various positions and then i call my shot, i start out with relativly easy ones and then i make them harder and harder, but if i miss i just keep going until i get it.

one time i played a game by myself where i was both stripes and solids! :)

lol, i was lonely that day, and it is very good practise, and thats why i am the 13 year old phenom that i am today (haha jk, i missed a really easy shot today, but i still won! but everyone makes mistakes..)

anyways, there are tons of ways, the ghost idea is good too, i like that,

i also like trying out new trick moves, like rail shots, jump shots, bank shots etc.

  5. In basketball, I used to play a solo game called "beat the ghost."  Basically, I went all around the key at various positions taking shots, starting with a free throw.  If I missed the first free throw shot, it was three points for the ghost.  If I made it, I get a point.  Then I went to various positions around the key, taking shots until I made it before moving onto the next position.  You get one point for every basket, but two points for the ghost if you miss.  I never actually did beat the ghost that way, though I came close once or twice.

To put a pool variation on it, I would say just set up a standard rack and break.  Give yourself a point if one or more of the balls sink on the break.  Then try and sink all the rest of the balls, calling your shot each time.  You get a point if you sink the shot you call.  If you scratch or sink the wrong ball, the ghost gets two points.

Shooting alone like that, you'll be shooting against your most difficult opponent ever.

  6. install cue club on u r pc...

  7. When you play straight pool you only need your opponent to rack if you can play ......................try practicing and when you can run more than 2 racks without missing and getting the break ball for the next rack you can begin shopping for an opponent.....................real players learn their craft by playing alone..............for hours at a time...................kinda like golf it's you against the table

  8. i try and shoot all the balls in order, or all combos or all banks.  just something to make it a lil bit more of a challenge and help improve my game.

edit   three ball is something i had forgotten about.   very valueable tool in increasing skills
