How can i play ps3 hd?

i have a hdtv and i bought the 40 gb ps3 and i plugged it in and it didnt look clear to me so how can i play hd?

You need a hmi/hi-def cable you can get it cheap for like $19 (i did) and change the settings and it should be crystal clear.

Lol, I just love questions like these.

You're missing information and all but anyway, for best quality use an HDMI cable to connect it to your TV. if you cant see anything which might happen, then, while you're on the other input go to settings in your PS3 and then (I'm just remembering this off the top of my head) change the video input to HDMI and you can also set the audio to HDMI. Then your screen will probably go dark, and then change the input on the TV (Video whatever) where the HDMI is and confirm settings.

You can get a HDMI cable for like $10 dollars at the store. Then plug both regular cables in and HDMI, then change to HDMI, then set all the resolution supports to the highest your tv displays.
