Basically you need a midi cable to output the data from the keyboard, and on the other side is the pc, may be is a game port on the sound card or newer model which allow the midi data thru a converter then a USB cable to a pc.

On the PC, there should be software that allow the capture of midi data, e.g. anvilstudio at http://www.anvilstudio.com , the configuration all depends on the type of keyboard you got, the software on the pc is necessary to turn the midi signal to computer data for storage and manipulation.
