  1. Don't tell them until you actually get the other job. Then you can write a nice letter and either hand it to them and say you are leaving or just drop it in your supervisor's office and let them come to you to "discuss it".

  2. i would say tell the truth. that you found a job that offers more. but don't quit until you're sure you got the new job. you dont wanna be left unemployed now

  3. hi, just tell him nicely that the other job has more to offer you & you actually can't bear to leave them. Who knows, they may counter offer you...

  4. Write a polite, compassionate resignation letter. Something like,

"My time at company_name has been rewarding and I am grateful for the experience, but I have found gainful employment elsewhere. My last day will be X. Thank you and I wish you success in the future.

    sincerely, Your_signed_name

You're not obligated to tell  them where you are going ot what you're going to be doing on the new job. Just say it's a great opportunity  that you cannot pass up if anyone asks.

  5. if you are applying for another jobs it means you havent got that particular job yet.. make sure you have THAT job and then quit because you dont want to quit and be jobless.. i suggest that you tell the truth if your willing to.. just tell them your heart isnt in the job and hope they dont take it personal.. its your life and you want to make the right career moves... plus if its across the street then you cant give some lame excuse because you might bump into your ex emplyer sooo just be honest.. honesty is the best policy :)
