  1. Try making cantelope sherbet. You can also freeze it - not whole, but cut it into chunks or make balls of it. Freeze it on a cookie sheet - sides not touching. Once frozen, you can put it into baggies. A lot of work, but you will be able to enjoy your harvest!

I am looking forward to the same thing later in the summer! Happy gardening!

  2. You can slice it up and freeze it for smoothies later in the year. Or slice it thin in strips and dip in sugar syrup and put in the food dehydrator to make sweet cantaloupe chips.... yummy!

  3. well you can a freezer outside, and possibly cyrogenically freeze it if you have the right chemicals. or jam has a good preservation ingredient in it, but make sure you get the think kind otherwise it will decompose the cantaloupe. ive tried using wood polish and that worked really well, cuz of the thick skin it doesnt poison it or anything. just make sure you keep it away from strong winds cuz the smell will kill any other kind of plant but not cantaloupe. have fun eating your yummyful foodologies. toodleseseseses, xoxooxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxox
